Evans GP is pleased to confirm that 15-year-old Aaron Mehta will join the team for the full Formula Trophy Malaysia season at Sepang International Circuit.

Mehta arrives at Evans GP following an impressive start to his single-seater career, having earned his place on the Formula 4 grid by winning the FGSP Shootout, securing a fully funded seat in the Formula 4 Indian Championship.

The opportunity proved to be an important breakthrough for the young driver. During his Formula 4 Indian Championship campaign, Mehta became both the youngest polesitter and youngest podium finisher in the championship’s history, underlining his potential during his first steps in single-seater competition.

Mehta will now continue his development with Evans GP in Malaysia, joining the team for the complete Formula Trophy Malaysia campaign.

The programme will give the 15-year-old further Formula 4 mileage and the opportunity to develop alongside Evans GP’s engineering and driver development structure throughout the season.

“Formula Trophy Malaysia gives Aaron the opportunity to continue building that experience over a complete programme with the same team around him. Our focus will be on helping him develop every aspect of his driving and giving him a strong platform to continue progressing.”
