Evans GP is pleased to confirm that Ginevra Panzeri will join Evans GP Academy for the opening round of the 2026 Formula Trophy Malaysia at Sepang International Circuit on 2–4 October.

The Italian driver will compete with Evans GP during a landmark weekend for Formula 4 in Southeast Asia, with the Formula Trophy Malaysia season opener taking place as part of the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia at Sepang.

Panzeri, 17, joins Evans GP during a busy 2026 season that has seen her compete across several Formula 4 championships in Europe, including French F4, alongside appearances in Formula Winter Series, F4 CEZ and other Formula 4 competition. She was also selected as the only Italian driver among the 18 participants in the 2026 F1 Academy Rookie Programme.

Her arrival forms part of the continued expansion of the Evans GP Academy, with the programme focused on creating opportunities for emerging drivers to develop within a professional racing environment and take the next steps in their motorsport careers.

Under the Academy’s “Accelerating the Next Generation” philosophy, Evans GP aims to provide young drivers with access to competitive machinery, experienced engineers and mechanics, driver development support and international racing opportunities.

For Panzeri, the Sepang event will provide another important opportunity to build experience in Formula 4, while competing on the same weekend as Formula 1 in front of an international audience.

Panzeri began racing at a young age before progressing into single-seaters, making her first Formula 4 appearances in 2025. Her 2026 programme has provided further experience across a variety of circuits and championships as she continues her progression through the junior single-seater ranks.

The signing of Panzeri further strengthens Evans GP’s commitment to young driver development as the team continues to expand its Formula 4 activities in Southeast Asia.

Based at Sepang International Circuit, Evans GP enters Formula Trophy Malaysia following a successful 2025 Southeast Asian F4 campaign in which the team secured the Teams’ Championship and its drivers finished first and second in the Drivers’ standings.

The opening round of the 2026 Formula Trophy Malaysia takes place at Sepang International Circuit from 2–4 October, alongside the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia.
