Evans GP has been selected to represent Malaysia in the 2026 FIA F4 World Cup, which will take place on Macau’s Guia Circuit from November 19–22.

The Malaysian-based team is one of only 12 organisations invited to contest the second edition of the event, which will adopt a multi-team format for the first time and expand to a 24-car grid.

Each team will operate two Tatuus F4-T421 cars, marking the model’s first competitive appearance on the demanding 6.120-kilometre street circuit.

The confirmed teams for the 2026 FIA F4 World Cup are:

The selection follows a successful period for Evans GP in Asian junior single-seater competition.

The team enjoyed a title-winning 2025 season in Asia, securing both the Formula 4 South East Asia Teams’ Championship and the Drivers’ Championship with Alex Sawer.

Evans GP also finished first and second in the drivers’ standings, with Seth Gilmore ending the campaign as runner-up.

Across the 14-race season, the team recorded 11 victories, eight pole positions, 11 fastest laps and 24 podium finishes.

Evans GP also has previous experience on the Guia Circuit, having made its Macau debut in 2024 with Australian driver Cooper Webster.

Webster delivered a top-five result on the team’s first appearance at the event, providing Evans GP with valuable experience of one of the most challenging street circuits in international motorsport.

Team Principal Josh Evans said being selected as one of the 12 teams represented a major achievement for the organisation.

“To be selected as one of just 12 of the best Formula 4 teams in the world is a huge honour for Evans GP,” Evans said.

“It is something the whole team can be very proud of, particularly after the success we enjoyed in Asia last year, when we won both the Drivers’ and Teams’ Championships.

“Macau is the most prestigious and important events in junior single-seater racing, and it is also a great event for the region. It brings the strongest teams and drivers from around the world to Asia and puts the region at the centre of the international motorsport calendar.

“This is a great initiative by the FIA and the Macau Grand Prix organisers. Moving to a multi-team format creates a genuine World Cup competition and gives the leading teams from different Formula 4 championships the opportunity to compete against each other on one of the world’s most challenging circuits.

“We also have very good memories from our Macau debut in 2024, when Cooper Webster achieved a top-five result for the team. That experience gave us a much better understanding of the unique demands of the Guia Circuit, and we are looking forward to returning with two cars for the FIA F4 World Cup.”

The 2026 competition represents a major change from the inaugural FIA F4 World Cup, which was organised under a centrally operated arrive-and-drive format.

For the second edition, the selected teams will prepare and operate their own cars, bringing the event closer to a conventional international Formula 4 competition.

The FIA and the Automobile General Association Macao-China selected the participating teams based on sporting merit, international representation and operational standards, with performances in FIA-certified Formula 4 championships during the 2025 season also considered.

Evans GP will be the only Malaysian entrant on the grid, while Asia Racing Team RFN and Theodore Racing will represent Macau and HYDRANGEA Kageyama Racing will compete under the Japanese flag.

The presence of teams from Malaysia, Macau and Japan gives Asia significant representation in a field that also includes leading Formula 4 organisations from Great Britain, Spain, the Netherlands, Italy, France, New Zealand and Germany.

The FIA F4 World Cup will run alongside the FIA Formula Regional World Cup during the 73rd Macau Grand Prix weekend.

Pirelli will serve as the official tyre supplier for both competitions.
