truck driver (Contract)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must have a business for contracting purposes
Be fit and able to work physical tasks assisting the race team over long race weekends
Mechanical experience is desired
Be highly motivated, a self-starter and able to adapt to meet the changing needs of the team
Display high attention to detail and cleanliness in their work
Be flexible to work extended hours to meet deadlines

ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS:
The successful applicant needs to be Northamptonshire based or within close proximity and will operate from our Wellingborough headquarters. You will be required to work mostly over weekends and will travel UK wide. Be a UK resident, or already have a valid UK working visa.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
MUST HOLD A MINIMUM OF HEAVY GOODS VEHICLE (HGV) DRIVERS LICENCE. Minimum 5 years driving experience. No previous driving record.

Perform routine preventative maintenance and repair procedures to include lubricating, cleaning, servicing, inspecting, and testing equipment. Basic office systems knowledge including but not limited to computer system & programs, cellular phone. Microsoft Office suite knowledge preferred (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build up race cars according to the priority of requests.
- Will be in charge of the preparation of racing automobiles for competition on closed courses.
- Take over responsibility for the preparation and modification of cars in the factory and events.
- The role requires flexibility, in all aspects of the vehicle assembly.
- Spot pending mechanical trouble before it occurs.
- Take pride in the appearance of properly prepared assemblies.
- Operate and maintain support equipment as needed.
- Ensure that all procedures are performed in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Document work with in-house records system and check sheets.
- Maintain organisation and cleanliness of work area.

Acceptance of work hours customary in the field of sport/entertainment is necessary. This position would initially be for an independent contractor for race and testing events, however the team are interested in discussing a full-time position as we move forward.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of four years related experience within the motor racing industry as a race mechanic.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leading their group to ensure they are reliable and at maximum performance
- Training Data-Engineers and Mechanics within their group
- Working with Race Drivers to prepare, diagnose and fix any issues with their cars and improve their performance through engineering or race-craft changes
- Creating session plans for their group and driver(s) including tyre pressures, tyre plan, run length and setup
- Reporting and cataloging any issues that occur and consulting on the solution and possible future application to other cars to improve performance/reliability
- Reporting and cataloging tyre usage, consumables, and mileage
