The upcoming Chinese Grand Prix weekend will see a number of former Evans GP drivers competing across several international categories, underlining the breadth of talent that has progressed through the team’s programmes in recent years.

At the highest level is Isack Hadjar, who will be present as part of the Red Bull Racing driver structure. Hadjar made his international open-wheel debut with Evans GP, where he quickly demonstrated strong pace and racecraft, achieving numerous podium finishes during his time with the team. Those early results played an important role in establishing his reputation on the international stage and laid the foundations for his continued progression through the single-seater ranks.

Also competing during the weekend is Alba Larsen, who will line up in the F1 Academy championship as part of the Ferrari Driver Academy. F1 Academy is a Formula 4–based championship designed to provide a structured pathway for female drivers progressing toward higher levels of single-seater racing, operating with identical machinery and within the Formula 1 paddock environment.

As in 2025, Larsen’s car will be run by MP Motorsport, with engineering support provided by Evans GP owner Joshua Evans. Evans has a long-standing working relationship with MP Motorsport across multiple championships, including Formula 4 and Formula Regional programmes. Larsen has also worked with Evans GP across several programmes, including her participation in the 2026 UAE Formula 4 Championship, where she continued to build consistency and confidence under pressure in both qualifying and race conditions.

Further strengthening the Evans GP connection to the weekend are Alex Sawer and Seth Gilmore. The pair enjoyed an outstanding season together in the South East Asia Formula 4 Championship, with Sawer securing the championship title in 2025 and Gilmore finishing second overall as his teammate. Seth also going on to win multiple races in the MSF 86xBRZ Cup, including the Merdeka 111 endurance race at Sepang International Circuit. Both Alex and Seth’s campaigns were characterised by strong qualifying pace, consistent race execution, and a mature approach throughout the season.

Following that success, both drivers have moved into Porsche Carrera Cup Asia, where they are competing with Bergwerk Motorsport. Carrera Cup Asia is a professionally run, gentleman racer-style championship that blends experienced amateur drivers with younger racers transitioning from single-seaters. After coming off a strong Formula 4 season, Sawer and Gilmore enter the series as two of the firm favourites for the championship, with their recent form and technical grounding expected to translate well to Porsche one-make racing.

For Evans GP, seeing former drivers represented across Formula 1 pathways, F1 Academy, and GT racing at the same Grand Prix weekend is a point of pride and a clear reflection of the team’s long-term driver development philosophy. The focus on technical understanding, structured coaching, and professional race preparation is designed to support drivers as they progress across different categories and disciplines.
