Evans GP has launched its new Motorsport Hub at Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia, establishing a world-class base for its racing operations and driver development programmes across Asia and the Middle East. The team, which recently won the Formula 4 South East Asia Championship, the Formula 4 Trophy Series with Kai Daryanani, and multiple Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia titles with its sister team DW Evans GT, now offers a complete pathway for drivers progressing from karting to Formula and GT racing.
A European-Level Facility in Southeast Asia
Located within the Sepang International Circuit Motorsport Park, the new facility showcases Evans GP’s commitment to bringing European-level motorsport professionalism to Southeast Asia. The Motorsport Hub includes a driving simulator with data analysis station, shock dynamometer, spring tester, in-house 3D printing and machining, and a fully equipped preparation area for both Formula and GT cars. These resources allow Evans GP to deliver complete engineering and driver development programmes from a single location.
Competing Across Asia and the Middle East
Evans GP competes in several international championships, including the Formula 4 South East Asia Championship, the Formula 4 Trophy Series, and the Formula 4 Middle East Championship. These series are held at leading circuits such as the Dubai Autodrome, Yas Marina Circuit, and the Formula 1 venue, Lusail International Circuit in Qatar.
In the 2025 season, Evans GP dominated the Formula 4 South East Asia Championship, finishing first and second in the Drivers’ Championship and winning the Teams’ Championship title. The team also achieved major international success in the Formula 4 Trophy Series in the Middle East last year, winning the championship with Kai Daryanani, who has since progressed to compete in GB3 and Eurocup-3 in Europe.
Locally, Evans GP operates a racing and driver development programme in the MSF 86XBRZ Cup at Sepang Circuit, using race-prepared Toyota 86 cars equipped with MoTeC data systems and onboard video for detailed driver feedback and performance analysis.
Evans GP will also return to the Macau Grand Prix Formula Regional World Cup, one of the most prestigious events in global motorsport. The team achieved an impressive fifth-place finish on debut last year and will again enter a multi-car campaign for the 2025 edition.
A Platform for Driver Development
At the heart of the Sepang Motorsport Hub is the Evans GP Academy, which provides a structured path for drivers moving from karting to cars through simulator training, technical coaching, and on-track testing in both Formula 4 and Formula Regional cars. The programme gives drivers from the region the same level of technical preparation and professional environment found in Europe.
“Sepang International Circuit is the perfect location for what we’re building,” said Joshua Evans, Team Principal of Evans GP. “We want to give drivers from the region access to European-standard engineering, data systems, and professional training before they make the step to international competition.”
A Complete Motorsport Pathway
Evans GP’s development structure extends beyond single-seaters through its sister team DW Evans GT, which has won the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia Championship for the past three seasons. DW Evans GT provides a direct platform for drivers aiming to transition from Formula racing into GT competition, combining manufacturer-level technical support with professional race programmes.
Together, Evans GP and DW Evans GT deliver a complete pathway for drivers aspiring to reach the highest levels of motorsport, from junior Formula racing through to international GT competition.
To coincide with the launch, Evans GP has released a new video and photo series showcasing its Sepang Motorsport Hub, offering an inside look at one of Southeast Asia’s most advanced motorsport facilities.
