Evans GP is proud to announce that Hiyu Yamakoshi will join the team for the 2025 Macau Grand Prix Formula Regional World Cup, taking place on 13–16 November. The event will mark Yamakoshi’s debut on the legendary Guia Circuit, one of the most demanding and prestigious street circuits in global motorsport.

Yamakoshi has been competing in the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine (FRECA) this year, where he has impressed in his debut season with a series of strong performances, including multiple second-place finishes at venues such as Spa-Francorchamps and Zandvoort. The talented Japanese driver first rose to prominence in Italian Formula 4, where he achieved two race victories and seven podium finishes on his way to finishing third overall in the 2024 championship.

His entry into Macau represents a major milestone in his international career. The Formula Regional World Cup brings together many of the top teams and drivers from Europe and Asia, providing a world-class stage for emerging talent to demonstrate their skills.

“This year has also been a very successful one for Evans GP, with the team winning both the Drivers’ and Teams’ Championships in the 2025 South East Asia Formula 4 Championship, building on our strong record in the region. Last year, we also achieved a top-five finish at Macau with Cooper Webster on his debut, which underlined our competitiveness at this level. We’re looking forward to carrying that momentum into this year’s race.”

The team’s remaining Macau Grand Prix drivers will be announced in the coming days.
