Evans GP is proud to announce that Charlie Wurz and Oscar Wurz will represent the team at the 2025 Macau Grand Prix Formula Regional World Cup, to be held on 14–15 November. The event will mark the final race for the current generation of Formula Regional cars, making this year’s edition a significant milestone in global single-seater competition.

The Austrian brothers, sons of Alex Wurz, a former Formula One driver and multiple 24 Hours of Le Mans winner, bring impressive credentials and depth of experience to the team. They will join Japanese driver Hiyu Yamakoshi, completing Evans GP’s three-driver line-up for the event.

Charlie Wurz has been competing in the FIA Formula 3 Championship this year, achieving multiple podium finishes. A proven race winner, he is also a former F4 UAE Champion and Formula Regional Oceania Champion, showcasing his development through the FIA pathway.

Oscar Wurz made the step up to Formula Regional machinery this year, racing in Eurocup-3 following a successful career in Formula 4, where he claimed the F4 Central European Zone Championship title. His technical understanding and adaptability have already made him a strong addition to the Evans GP line-up.

Both drivers completed a successful shakedown at Sepang International Circuit in preparation for the event, working closely with the Evans GP engineers to begin their run plan ahead of October’s testing phase.

Charlie Wurz said: “Our shakedown in Sepang went really well. The car felt great, and it was good to get back into the rhythm before we start full testing. I’m really looking forward to tackling Macau with Evans GP. It’s such a special event and a unique challenge.”

Oscar Wurz added: “The first run with Evans GP at Sepang gave me a great feeling for the car and how the team operates. Everyone was very professional, and I’m looking forward to continuing the preparation and heading to Macau to take on some of the best teams and drivers from Europe.”

Evans GP approaches the event following a successful year in Asia, having secured both the Drivers’ and Teams’ Championships in the 2025 South East Asia Formula 4 Championship. The team also enjoyed a strong performance at last year’s Macau Grand Prix, with Cooper Webster finishing fifth on his debut for the team.
