Evans GP is pleased to confirm that Australian driver Seth Gilmore will continue with the team in 2025, undertaking a combined programme that includes the South East Asia Formula 4 Championship and the MSF 86xBRZ Cup. As part of his broader development plan, Seth will also have the opportunity to test a Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo Evo2 with DW Evans GT later in the year.

This announcement follows Seth’s participation with the team in the Formula 4 Middle East Championship earlier in the year. His return to Evans GP reflects the team’s long-term vision for driver development and commitment to providing diverse learning opportunities across different disciplines.

“It’s great to have re-signed both Thomas and Seth to the team for 2025,” said Team Principal Joshua Evans. “Having them both return shows the trust they have in our team environment and our approach to driver development. Seth made real progress during our Middle East campaign, and this expanded programme will give him the chance to refine his racecraft across both single-seaters and production-based platforms. With the SEA F4 calendar and the MSF 86xBRZ Cup, he’ll be racing frequently, in different formats, and against strong competition.”

Seth Gilmore added, “I’m really excited to continue with Evans GP this year. The team has been fantastic to work with, and I’ve learned so much already. Getting the chance to race in both SEA F4 and the 86xBRZ Cup gives me a huge amount of track time and a great mix of racing styles. I’m especially looking forward to the Merdeka 111 and the Lamborghini test later in the year — both are big opportunities for me to take the next step.”

2025 South East Asia Formula 4 Championship calendar:

• Round 1: 2–4 May – Sepang International Circuit (Malaysia)

• Round 2: 23–25 May – Buriram International Circuit (Thailand)

• Round 3: 4–6 July – Bangsaen Street Circuit (Thailand)

• Round 4: 5–7 September – Sepang International Circuit (Malaysia)

• Round 5: 19–21 September – Sepang International Circuit (Malaysia)

Alongside the F4 campaign, Seth will also contest selected rounds of the MSF 86xBRZ Cup, Malaysia’s leading national category for production-based GT racing featuring Toyota 86 and Subaru BRZ cars. Evans GP is running a dedicated programme in this championship, providing young drivers with additional race mileage and an opportunity to sharpen their skills in closely matched, rear-wheel-drive machinery.

• Round 4: 31 August – Sepang International Circuit (Full Track) – Merdeka 111 Endurance Race

A highlight of the MSF programme will be Seth’s participation in the Merdeka 111, a special 111-lap endurance race held on 31 August in celebration of Malaysia’s National Day. This race presents a unique challenge in terms of strategy, consistency, and team coordination, offering valuable experience in race management and endurance performance.

To complete the season, Seth will test one of the Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo Evo2 cars with DW Evans GT, Evans GP’s sister team which competes in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia Championship. The test will introduce Seth to GT machinery at an elite level and form part of his long-term development path.
