Evans GP Academy is excited to announce the launch of its Toyota 86 Driver Training Program at Sepang International Circuit. This new initiative provides an ideal stepping stone for karting drivers transitioning to race cars, as well as a valuable opportunity for Toyota 86 / Subaru BRZ Series competitors seeking additional seat time on a Grand Prix-style circuit.

The addition of two Toyota 86 / Subaru BRZ race cars is the latest expansion of Evans GP’s driver development programs, reinforcing the team’s commitment to improving opportunities for young drivers. Evans GP has a strong history of developing young talent, with a total of seven drivers competing at the upcoming Australian Grand Prix weekend at Albert Park. These Evans GP alumni will be competing across multiple categories, demonstrating their progression through the ranks of international motorsport.

This weekend, seven former Evans GP drivers will be competing at the Australian Grand Prix across multiple categories, demonstrating their progression through the ranks of international motorsport.

In Formula 1, Isack Hadjar makes his debut, a major milestone as he steps onto the biggest stage in world motorsport.

In Supercars, three former Evans GP drivers are set to race:

• Thomas Randle, a strong contender aiming for a top result.

• Andre Heimgartner, a proven competitor looking to make an impact at Albert Park.

• Aaron Cameron, making his solo Supercars debut in an important step forward in his career.

In Formula 2, two of our alumni are on the grid:

• Sami Meguetounif, continuing to develop in his rookie season.

• John Bennett, pushing to make progress in one of the most competitive junior categories.

In Formula 3, Nicola Marinangeli returns to the field, looking to make a strong impression in Melbourne.

Evans GP is proud to have played a role in their development, and we look forward to seeing them in action this weekend. We understand how critical it is to develop strong drivers with the right skills, technique, and approach to winning. Our passion for driver development is evident through the success of our past drivers, and this same commitment is carried through to the Toyota 86 Driver Training Program. By providing young drivers with the right foundation, we continue to shape the next generation of racing talent. The program allows participants to enhance their car control, racecraft, and circuit familiarity in a professional environment, supported by Evans GP’s experienced engineering team.

Last week, young Australian Formula Ford and karting competitor Hunter Salvatore conducted a successful shakedown of both Toyota 86 / Subaru BRZ cars on Wednesday and Thursday, ensuring they are fully prepared for upcoming training sessions.

Evans GP Academy continues to broaden its driver development resources, and in addition to the Toyota 86 Driver Training Program, we will soon introduce a high-end professional driving simulator at our Sepang International Circuit headquarters. This simulator will be available for young drivers looking to refine their skills in a data-driven, controlled environment.

The program is also an excellent opportunity for any driver, young or old, looking to gain experience around the iconic Sepang International Grand Prix Circuit.
