Evans GP is pleased to announce that Seth Gilmore will join the team for the upcoming 2024 Formula Trophy Series, competing alongside already confirmed driver Kai Daryanani. The series, held across three events in the United Arab Emirates—starting at Dubai Autodrome and followed by two rounds at Yas Marina Circuit— presents an exciting challenge for Seth. The second round will be a support event for the Formula 1 season finale, adding further prestige and excitement to the series. Seth will face a highly competitive field, including many experienced European drivers, making this a valuable opportunity for him to continue his development.

Seth Gilmore has just completed his first full season of car racing in the Australian Formula 4 Championship, where he claimed the Rookie of the Year title and finished fourth overall in the final standings. With a background in karting and production car racing in Australia, Seth is well-prepared for the challenges of the Formula Trophy Series, which will give him the chance to compete at new circuits and against top-tier drivers.

The 2024 Formula Trophy Series will introduce Seth to two of the UAE’s premier circuits, beginning at the Dubai Autodrome before moving to back-to-back events at Yas Marina Circuit. The second round, supporting the Formula 1 World Championship finale, will feature a world-class racing atmosphere, providing Seth with invaluable experience against some of the best up-and-coming talent.

Evans GP is looking to build on its momentum from the recent FIA Formula 4 event at Sepang Circuit, where the team dominated the weekend, securing pole positions with a 1-2-3 qualifying finish, setting the fastest laps, and winning all three races. Seth, who competed with another team at Sepang, will now join Evans GP, and the team is excited to work with him as he continues to progress in his career.

“We’ve been in discussions with Seth for the past year, and when the Formula Trophy Series became a reality, it was clear that this was a perfect fit for both his goals and those of the team. We’re eager to help Seth grow further as a driver and take on the competition in this highly competitive series,” said Joshua Evans, Team Principal of Evans GP.

Seth Gilmore expressed his excitement about joining Evans GP: “I’m thrilled to be joining Evans GP for the Formula Trophy Series. After a strong season in Australia, I’m ready for this new challenge in the UAE. I know it’s going to be tough with so many talented drivers on the grid, but I’m confident the team will provide everything I need to perform at my best. I’ve been following Evans GP for a while, and after seeing their success at Sepang, I knew this was the right team to help me take the next step in my career.”

Evans GP has a strong history in the UAE, having achieved wins and podiums in the Formula Regional Middle East Championship. The team is excited to bring this expertise to the Formula Trophy Series and looks forward to working with both Seth and Kai Daryanani to achieve strong results.

The 2024 Formula Trophy Series begins with testing at the Dubai Autodrome on November 28, followed by three rounds of competitive racing:

• Round 1: Dubai Autodrome (November 30 – December 1)

• Round 2: Yas Marina Circuit (F1 GP Support Race, December 6 – 8)

• Round 3: Yas Marina Circuit (December 13 – 14)
