Evans GP is excited to announce that Cooper Webster will drive one of our three entries in the 2024 Macau GP Formula Regional World Cup. This will mark Cooper’s debut in Formula Regional machinery, presenting a new challenge for the young Australian driver, who has built an impressive career in karting and open-wheel racing.

Cooper is no stranger to success, having competed for Evans GP in the GB4 Championship last year, where he was crowned vice-champion. His outstanding season included 4 pole positions, 6 fastest laps, 15 podiums, and 5 race wins, including victories in the final three races of the season. Before joining Evans GP, Cooper enjoyed a successful career in Australia, winning races in the S5000 Championship, Excel Cup, and various karting titles. He also dominated the FIA Indian F4 Championship with 8 wins.

Cooper’s talents extend beyond traditional racing. As a factory driver for Max Verstappen’s Team Redline, he has also made a mark in the virtual racing world. Most recently, Cooper claimed a commanding victory in the official IndyCar iRacing Championship on the streets of Long Beach, winning by a 5-second margin.

Cooper’s history with Evans GP is extensive. He was part of the team when they made their FIA Formula debut in the final round of the Australian F4 Championship at Sepang. That weekend, Evans GP secured a 1-2-3 qualifying sweep and a clean sweep of race wins, with Cooper taking one of those wins and emerging as the top points scorer for the event.

Joshua Evans, team manager of Evans GP, shared his thoughts on continuing the partnership with Cooper:

Evans GP has a strong history at the Macau GP Formula Regional World Cup, having provided engineering support when Charles Leong won the event in 2020. With Cooper Webster confirmed, the team will announce its other two entries in the coming weeks.
