YAS MARINA CIRCUIT, UAE – Evans GP has returned to the FIA Formula Regional Middle East Championship (FRMEC) podium with Australian driver Costa Toparis.

The fourth race weekend of the season saw the young Australian make significant progress in qualifying, setting purple sectors and starting 3rd for Race 1 and 6th for Race 3.

Toparis maintained his position to secure his maiden FIA Formula Regional podium. This achievement was all the more significant as it was against a highly competitive field that included F1 juniors, FIA Formula 2 & 3 drivers, and Formula Regional European Championship race winners.

This podium finish marks Evans GP’s 13th in the Middle East and its 48th overall, a testament to the team’s dedication and hard work in the highly competitive world of motorsports.

The weekend also saw the team expand to a three-car lineup, with French driver Edgar Pierre joining Toparis and British racer John Bennett, to make his car racing debut at the Yas Marina Circuit.

With this momentum, Evans GP is looking forward to the final round of this year’s championship at the Dubai Autodrome next weekend.
