Rotterdam, Netherlands –

In time for the 2023 season, Evans GP has reached an agreement to sell its four Tatuus T-318 / Alfa Romeo vehicles to current Formula 2 Championship winning operation, MP Motorsport.

This comes after a season in which Evans GP founder, Joshua Evans, worked with MP Motorsport in Europe as an engineer, and who will now oversee their operations throughout the 2023 FRMEC season in the Middle East.

Joshua Evans “As Evans GP, we had two great seasons in Formula Regional Asia and it’s a championship we hold in very high regard. The racing has been fierce, and the competition is strong, with front running European teams such as Prema and Hitech involved. “

“We’ve been able to achieve numerous race wins, but it was clear to see that for the group to take the next step, it required either an injection of capital or a partnership with a larger team. What Sander and the MP team can do is ensure the that cars and equipment can be utilized and continue to run at the front.”

“I’ve personally had the opportunity to work with MP throughout 2022 and its clear to see why they are a front running operation in every category they compete in. I’m looking forward to working towards contributing to this in 2023.”

Evans GP has already announced its 2023 plans with a multi-car assault on the UK based GB4 Championship, incidentally, utilizing ex-MP Motorsport machinery. These cars were previously used in the Spanish F4 Championship, a championship that MP Motorsport has won a record 5 times.

The Formula Regional Middle East Championship is run as a regional F3 FIA series and designed as a stepping stone to International F3. The series has a well-deserved reputation as being one of the most competitive F3 championships, with former drivers including such notables as Nikita Mazepin, Rinus Veekay, Liam Lawson, Dan Ticktum, Jack Doohan, Jamie Chadwick, Petro Fittipaldi, and David Schumacher.

The GB4 Championship is a 7 event, 21 race series that runs primarily on the British GT and GB3 Championship programs, offering drivers an excellent platform to showcase their skills. Every race will also be available to watch free of charge on YouTube, Facebook and through the official championship websites.

The championship utilizes the Tatuus F4-T014 which is one of the most successful single-seater cars produced in recent decades, driven by current F1 stars Lando Norris, Lance Stroll, Mick Schumacher, Zhou Guanyu, Logan Sargent and Oscar Piastri to launch their careers. An important distinction from other entry level series is that the GB4 championship uses Pirelli tyres, giving drivers experience on the same brand of tyres used in GB3, F3, F2 and F1.

Evans GP is a professional racing team that competes in Formula and Touring Car competition and testing. The team’s international personnel bring a wealth of winning experience including such series as F1, F2, F3, GP2, GP3, F4, Formula Renault, Formula Ford, V8 Supercars, and others.
