Evans Grand Prix is pleased to announced the signing of engineer and former driver, Mihai Marinescu, to spearhead its technical team for the upcoming Asian F3 season.
Mihai worked with Evans GP founder Josh Evans during the 2019/20 Asian F3 season where they achieved success by clinching the Drivers, Teams and Masters Championships with the BlackArts Racing outfit.
From the 2021 season, Mihai will work closely with Evans GP during their Asian F3 Championship campaign as well as other racing projects that are yet to be announced.
Mihai Marinescu: “I’m looking forward to continuing the strong partnership Josh and I were able to establish during last season. The team has been preparing well for their upcoming championship assault and there are also some exciting plans in the pipeline that I am looking forward to being a part of.
Last year we were able to clinch the three Asian F3 championships and I look forward to pushing for this again with Evans GP” added Mihai.
Josh Evans: “I would like to welcome Mihai to the team. A race team is only as good as the people involved and I see Mihai as a real asset to us. We’ve recently worked together and achieved success in Asian F3 and it will be great to continue this partnership through Evans GP.
“Mihai has a long history of success that also includes engineering championship and race wins with respected teams such as Prema Powerteam and this was evident during last year’s successful campaign. We really can’t wait to hit the track in Abu Dhabi”
